It is incredibly good...
I am just amazed and surprised at how much fun tonight's party was. I looked at my phone when we were about to leave... "oh my gosh, is it really almost 9???" It certainly didn't feel like so long!
I can't remember the last time I laughed so much... it's been too long.
And when I got home, I realized that I was just... good. It's harder to describe the absence of something than the presence of something, but the absence of the incredible stress and anger and loneliness of this past week and the past few weeks was just an amazing feeling.
The party was a prom theme, and Chris C. and I won the "best dressed" awards!
And I have lots of pictures to upload... really need to do that soon.
The food was amazing and plentiful... we made punch again, I made ribs, and everyone brought and made so much other stuff... it turned out so well. I was so glad that I thought at the last minute to bring the badminton set; it was a huge hit! Pretty much everyone took a turn. And oh, the conversations... lifted my spirits and for the first time in what feels like a long time, I let go and laughed out loud... many times.
